Good News about "T"

Well some of you may know that our oldest Tridon has been having a difficult time keeping up with the 2nd grade level, (with the other students). He has been struggling with reading, comprehension, and spelling, also with some math. So Glenn and I decided to have him tested for a learning disability, (Glenn and I both had trouble with school)! Well over the past 4-5 weeks the school has tested him in various things, and today we met with the school to see what the results were, and he did very well with most everything on a one to one basis, but he has a very hard time staying focused on things that happen in a big groups (the classroom) and on things that may not interest him, (which is pretty much anything that doesn't do with his D.S., art, sports, superhero's, t.v., friends & Family). So he doesn't have a learning disability that qualifies him for Special ED, (YIPPEE, YES, and Fantastic!!!), but now what right? Well they gave us and his teacher some idea's on how to help him stay focused and how to stay interested in his work. they did say that he is a very smart boy and he is learning, but he is just not staying focused long enough to keep up, (which puts him behind). They also said that because he has shown that he is progressing, and that he is a very competitive child, that holding him back would be a very bad idea, (what a relief, because I didn't feel right about that either). So right now, only time will tell if the idea's are working! They also think that these other idea's will work, so they don't think taking him to a doctor is the best either, (which again is also a big relief, because I am not big on meds, and I also have a very strong "prompting" that this is not what we need to do). If this doesn't work I think Glenn and I will have to pray about what to do next. So thanks for all the prayers and thoughts, and please feel free to continue to do so. I think that it has helped and it will continue to help him progress through the rest of school. Lots of Love- Camie

Camie's New Calling @ Church!

Well I got a new calling in Church, and yes I have to admit it was very hard for me to accept it, but I can't say no to God even thought I am questioning what he has is mind for me. I was called to be a Nursery Leader for on of our 3 Nursery's. Luckily it's not for Avery's class. So I get a somewhat of a break from my children! I have doubts in myself, but I like my Mother and Father will put all into what I am called for. I love my children and my husband, and I WILL grow from this. I also will remember that God will give us something that I will grow from, not something that I am already strong in!

Glenn & Camie's Snowmobiling Date!!!

We had SO much fun on our Snowmobiling Date! We went in a group of 6, (3 couples) it was Glenn and I, Jerry and Amy, and Grant and Lori! We loaded up the sleds and left Nampa about 8:00 a.m. and went up the Cascade which is about 2 1/2 hours away, unloaded the sleds went riding and playing. We found some fun fun areas to goof off in. We found hills to ride on and the roll and jump down. The guys got some really good jumps in. They are really good on the snowmobiles. Jerry was doing some crazy stuff, but very cool stuff. I don't think Glenn wanted to get chewed out by his wife, so he didn't get as crazy as Jerry. He says he doesn't do it when I am not there, but with the grin he gives me I think I know better. It was fun because we had no one get hurt, stuck, and all but one of the sleds worked fine. The one that didn't was an old one "1985" and I think it decided that it was done. It's so much fun going with people that you can trust and that you know that can and will get you out if anything should possible happen. (Heaven Forbid). We got home about 6:30 p.m. Other then being tired and very very sore, I had so much fun. It was nice just to be with Glenn, no kids, no job, no everyday stuff that happens when your at home. Thanks to Alayna we were able to have the 4 kids stay with her and her kids all day, Thank you so much Alayna for the day off!!! Next time we will have to bring the kids sleds up and take them on some sledding hills. What Fun! Please view the slid show below, it's quite long, sorry, but it is fun to watch! (MOM- I promise we wore helmets the whole time we were on the snowmobile's.) hehehehe!!!

Monday Night the kids decided for the Activity for Family Night, that they wanted to go "Swimming" in the Hot Tub. So we all got our swimsuits on called Josh and Stacey and their 4 kids and had them come over, and then we went "Chunky Dunkn'" as Daddy calls it. We had fun and the hot water felt good, until we had to get out and the cold air hit our wet bodies, "BUUUURRRR". To our Family and Friends - When your around town, or just plain want to relax, why don't you come Chunky Dunk with us, and have some fun too!!!

The First Sunday of the Year

Wow the kids had a big day today at church! They all had new classes, plus instead of going to church at 9:00 a.m. we now go at 11:00 a.m. Which was a nice change. Tridon moved up to CTR 8, which means he gets to be baptized this year, Yes I said baptized he is getting older, and it's making me feel older! Dallas is now a CTR6, he is getting older too. My little Case is now a Sunbeam, and is loving it! And Avery, not yet old enough got the privilege to go to Nursery she is suppose to go in on FEB. 18, but the teachers said to bring her on in, and she loves it, and so does Mommy and Daddy, but mostly mommy! She had become quite the pill at church. I love Nursery, as long as I don't get put in as a teacher, (knock on wood). Glenn got to enjoy his class, and I actually got to sit in my class too, YEAHHHHHH!!!!! We are so glad that the kids love to go to Primary, and that they do really well with just going to class and not crying for us. Thank you Heavenly Father for giving us such great kids, and Thank you to our Parents for raising Glenn and I in the Church and to love the Gospel as much as we do. Glenn and I both have very strong Testimonies of the Gospel, and we know it to be true. We love the Prophet, Our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ, and all they teach us. I will post a picture next Sunday on how nice looking the kids look all dressed up and ready for Church! Thanks to all for the support you have given to us.
