We got a wonderful phone call on Friday about 3:30 p.m., it was my mother asking us if we had any plans for the weekend! We of course said, 'No"! She asked me if "we wanted some", and we said "yes"! So the waiting game began with the boys who sat by the window pretty much the whole time and waited and waited! About 9:30 p.m. they showed up, YEAH!!! The boys were bouncing off the walls, they were so excited! We decided that we would go up to the McCall Winter Carnival up in McCall ID, the next day. They have ice sculpture's, parade's and a lot of winter fun things to do! So on Saturday we got up had breakfast, and headed up to McCall which is about 2 hours away! We got to see about the last 45 mins of the parade, and got to see a bunch of fun things and got to collect necklaces that they threw out to us, (It's a "G" rated Mardi Gras). The boys and our favorite float was the Track Hoe decorated as a Dino, that moved and also growled at us, it was super cool! After the parade we walked around and saw some cool ice sculpture's and also played on the frozen lake, the kids slipped and slided every where! We then decided that we were ready to leave and go eat in Cascade, (about 20 mins down the mountain). We had yummy soup and ok hamburgers. Then we wanted to go on a kinda hidden hill and go sledding. We had so much fun sledding, The boys, had tons of fun. Tridon went down the most I think. Dallas did run into a Grandma and a tree stump and hurt himself in a place that boys don't like to be hurt, but he did laugh about it, and so did the rest of us (after we made sure he and Grandma were ok). After that we decide that it was time to head home, so we drove the almost 2 hours back and had yummy chili for dinner and went to bed, (we were all pooped, I think the adults more then the kids). The next day Sunday, Grandpa/ma headed home around 9:00 a.m. , they had to work the next day! (Please view the slide show below, it is quite long)!
We had so much fun with my parents and glad that they decided to make a quick trip to visit us, we miss all of them so very much and it's nice to have them come see us when they can! Thank you Mom and Dad!
